Kota, Dec 7 (PTI) A 20-year-old NEET aspirant was foundhanging by the neck from the ceiling fan of his hostel room inRajiv Gandhi Nagar area here, police said today.
The body of Abdullaha Azij, from Kanura village ofLucknow in Uttar Pradesh, was discovered last night by thehostel warden, Neeraj Gupta, Circle In charge (CI),Jawaharnagar police station said, adding that he might havekilled himself on December 3.
The warden had not seen the boy for almost three dayswhen he decided to check his room through a back window andfound him hanging, Gupta said.
In a suicide note recovered from his room, the boymentioned some family problem as the reason, the CI said.
However, family members of the deceased alleged that hemight have killed himself because of stress.
After passing Std XII, Azij took admission at a coachinginstitute in the city in May to prepare for National Entrancecum Eligibility Test (NEET), CI Gupta said.
The dead body was handed over to the family this morningafter postmortem, he said, adding that a case was registeredunder relevant section and further investigation was underway.
