Los Angeles, Dec 18 (PTI) Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, whois being sued by a TV-radio broadcaster for alleged sexualmisconduct, has denied the claims.
The 68-year-old musician defended himself in a statementposted on Twitter.
"Friends, I intend to defend myself against any allegedcharges you may have been reading about in the media. For therecord, I did not assault the person making these accusationsin the manner alleged in the complaint or harm her in any way.
"I am conferring with my lawyers with the aim ofvigorously countering these allegations. And, I look forwardto my day in court where the evidence will prove myinnocence," Simmons wrote.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuitagainst the musician in Los Angeles Superior Court, after sheinterviewed him at his new Rock & Brews restaurant on November1, San Bernardino Sun reported.
According to the lawsuit, Simmons allegedly grabbed herhand during their conversation; he "forcefully placed it onhis knee" until she pulled it back.
The renowned artiste is also said to have made "unwanted,unwarranted sexual advances" towards the claimant. PTI RDSRDS.
