"The Congress today behaved in an undemocratic manner inthe Upper House by disrupting Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkarfrom speaking on the important and non-political issue ofsports and its development in the country," ParliamentaryAffairs Minister Ananth Kumar told reporters here.

The cricket icon could not initiate a short-durationdiscussion on the right to play and the future of sports inIndia.

"Despite repeated requests from the Chairman of the Housethat he (Tendulkar) should be allowed to speak on thisimportant and public interest issue, the Congress did notallow him to speak," Kumar said.
