Panaji, Nov 9 (PTI) Australian Navy's ANZAC classfrigate HMAS Warramunga arrived on Goa visit today and will behere till November 12, the Indian Navy official said today.

"HMAS Warramunga is on a visit to Goa from Novemberbetween 9 and 12. Warramunga is an Australian Navy ANZAC classFrigate. The ship is commanded by Commander Dugald WC Clellandand is currently berthed at Mormugao Port Trust. The 118 mtrship is manned by 190 personnel including 24 officers and 166sailors," the Indian Navy spokesman has said in a statementissued here.

He said a team of Indian Navy personnel visited theship for interaction with the crew of the Australian shiptoday.

"A professional visit of Australian ship officers andsailors to Naval Base Hansa will also be conducted on November10. During the interactions various professional issues willbe discussed," he said.

"A friendly T-20 Cricket match will be played betweenmixed teams of Goa Naval Area and HMAS Warramunga at Goa NavalArea Stadium. Social interactions on a reciprocal basis arealso planned to be held between the two sides," the spokesmansaid.

Commander Dugald WC Clelland, Commanding Officer HMASWarramunga, called on Rear Admiral Puneet K Bahl, the FlagOfficer Commanding Goa Naval Area today and discussed variousbilateral issues.

The ship is scheduled to depart Goa on November 12 andwill participate in the Passage Exercise with Indian Navalship Gomati, the spokesman said. PTI RPSNP.
