Jaipur, Nov 14 (PTI) Senior VHP leader Acharya Dharmendratoday said a case should be lodged against director SanjayLeela Bhansali over his period drama 'Padmavati' and seniorCongress leader Rameshwar Dudi demanded a ban on thecontroversial film.

The Akhil Bhartiya Shatriya Mahasabha said a protestwould be held at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on November 19against the screening of the film.

Dharmendra, at a press conference, alleged thatPadmavati's character was being assassinated by showingcondemnable scenes.

He said in a song in the movie's trailer, she was showndancing in a way that was against tradition and demanded acase against the filmmaker.

Dudi, who is also the leader of opposition, demanded aban on the film, alleging that it distorts facts and history.

He said the issue was not related a particular communitybut to the entire society.

The Akhil Bhartiya Shatriya Mahasabha coordinatorMahendra Singh Rathore claimed that an attempt was being madeto distort history through the movie.

"We will not tolerate any such attempt and people inlarge scale will lodge protest in the national capital onNovember 19," he said in a press conference here. PTI AGAAR.
