New Delhi, Nov 15 (PTI) Markets regulator Sebi plans torope in an independent agency to provide contract staff,including receptionist and supervisor, for its office inChennai.

To provide these services, Sebi has issued a noticeinviting applications from the interested parties.

The agency should be responsible for providing theservices of the contract staff like receptionist, supervisor,office boys, house-keeping boys, pantry boys and driver,for the overall maintenance of Sebi's regional office.

According to the regulator, the agency who had providedsimilar outsourced staff in PSUs and financial institutionsduring the last five years would be preferred.

Among other requirements, the agency should have at leastcarried out one similar job for value of Rs 34.80 lakh perannum. It needs to have an annual turnover of Rs 13.5 lakhduring the last three years and should not have incurred anylosses in any two consecutive years during the past fiveyears.

The interested agencies can send their applicationswithin 15 days, the Securities and Exchange Board of India(Sebi) said in a notice dated November 13. PTI SPARD.
