"This (mediation) kind of effort is being made by thosewho believe it will help resolve the issue at the earliest. Iwish their efforts bear fruit. But the apex court's finalverdict will be binding," Naik told reporters on the sidelinesof an event here.

The apex court has said the issue should be amicablyresolved through a cordial meeting of all parties.
