New Delhi, Nov 15 (PTI) Urad and its dal prices rose byup to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market todayfollowing selective buying coupled with restricted suppliesfrom producing regions.

However, other pulses moved in a narrow range inscattered deals and settled around the previous levels.

Traders said selective buying by retailers againstrestricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to therise in urad and its dal prices.

In the national capital, urad edged up to Rs 4,100-5,850from previous level of Rs 4,000-5,650 per quintal. Its dalchilka (local),best quality and dhoya were also up by Rs 200each to Rs 5,300-5,400, Rs 5,400-5,900 and Rs 5,800-6,000 perquintal, respectively.
