Colombo, Oct 12 (PTI) Sri Lankan authorities aresuspecting the involvement of two Indian nationals in a caserelated to the hacking of a Taiwanese commercial bank andtransfer of USD 1.1 million to a personal account in thiscountry, police said.

At least two Sri Lankans, one of them a high rankingofficial of the government-owned liquid gas firm, werearrested on Monday for hacking at Far Eastern InternationalBank.

Two Taiwanese investigators and an official from the FarEastern International Bank of Taiwan have arrived in Sri Lankato investigate the case.

According to reports, USD 60 million were swiped when acriminal gang hacked into the bank's systems.

The police told the court that five million rupeeswithdrawn from the prime suspect's personal bank account hadbeen given to two Indian nationals at a Colombo hotel. The twoIndians had also visited the prime suspect in his office laterto receive more money.

The two Indians have fled the Colombo hotel immediatelyafter the arrest of the two suspects, the police said. PTICorr NSA AKJNSA.
