Bareilly (UP), Oct 13 (PTI) Two policewomen, including aninspector, were arrested on charges of vandalism and attemptto kidnap a five-year-old brother of the chief judicialmagistrate from her residence in Bareilly, police said today.

In a complaint to the police, CJM Kusumlata Rathorealleged that inspector Anupam Singh and constable Lata Sharmabarged into her home in the Judges Colony Wednesday evening,SP City Rohit Sajwan said.

The CJM alleged that the two assaulted and tried tosnatch her gold chain, and thrashed and tried to strangulateher domestic help Jaya, 19. When she rushed to intervene, theyattempted to kidnap her brother Kushagra.

The boy is the adopted son of the CJM's father, the SPsaid.

The CJM said that the policewomen have been arrested.

An FIR has been lodged against them.

The SP said since the policewomen took ill, they wereadmitted to a hospital. PTI COR SAB SMI ABH SKABH.
