accusedCoimbatore (TN), Oct 13 (PTI) A court here today sentSubair, a key accused in the murder of Hindu Munnanifunctionary C Sasikumar, to seven days police custody.
Subair, who was arrested by the CB-CID on Wednesday fromthe Mullapadi Railway Gate near Pollachiand, is lodged in theCentral Jail.
Sasikumar (36), district spokesperson of the Munnani, wasmurdered with sickles by a gang on two wheelers when he wasreturning home in Subramaniampalayam, on the outskirts, onSeptember 22 last year, triggering a communal flare up.
Granting the custody of Subair to police, Chief JudicialMagistrate Madurasekharan directed the CB-CID to produce himon October 20 before him.
The main accused in the case Saddam Hussain was arrestedtwo months ago while search was on for his accomplice Mubarak,said to be the master mind behind the murder, according to thepolice. PTI NVM RCKIS.
