New Delhi, Oct 12 (PTI) The North Delhi MunicipalCorporation has entered into an agreement with a PSU bank forreal-time transfer of salaries to the accounts of itsemployees, the civic body today said.
The partnering bank, Union Bank of India, and technologyfirm Tech Mahendra will also facilitate the process, it said.
"This process would mean that salaries would be sent toemployees with a click of a button and without any furthermanual intervention," the NDMC said in a statement.
With this system in place, the NDMC will transfersalaries worth Rs 221 cr to its approximately 57,000 employeesin real time, it said.
The civic body said the decision is a significant steptowards digitisation and will improve the satisfaction andefficiency of the employees. PTI KNDKND10131245TIR.
