Srinagar, Oct 13 (PTI) Senior officials today reviewedthe security at Srinagar International Airport, 10 days afteran attack by militants on a BSF camp near the only civilianairport in Kashmir region.

According to a police spokesperson, a security reviewmeeting was held at Srinagar International Airport, which waspresided by Inspector General of Police (Security) Alok Kumar.

He said the meeting was attended by the airport director,SSP Security (Anti-hijacking) International Airport Srinagar,Commandants of 35 Battalion CRPF, 182 battalion BSF, officialsof state police's intelligence wing, traffic department,Indian Air Force and airlines operating from there.

"The SSP Security gave a detailed presentation about theairport security. All stakeholders were impressed upon by theIGP (Security) to remain extra vigilant in their areas ofresponsibility and implement the guidelines so that fool-proofsecurity arrangements are in place," the spokesperson said.

On October 3, security forces foiled a pre-dawn attemptby the Jaish-e-Mohammed to storm a BSF camp near the high-security Srinagar airport, killing all three militants in anoperation that also claimed the life of an ASI of the force.
