Hyderabad, Oct 23 (PTI) The opposition BJP today askedthe TRS government in Telangana to clarify whether the textilepark, proposed to be developed by it at Warangal, is part ofthe Centre's scheme for textile parks or not.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao laid the foundationstone for the textile park at Warangal yesterday.
"Is the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park part of the Schemefor Integrated Textile Parks (SITP) or not? If yes, Centrewould make 40 per cent investment. You would not say no tothat," state BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao toldreporters here.
He also asked the state government to announce thetimeline for execution, the project report and by when theestimated jobs would be realised.
The state government yesterday said it has signedMoUs with 22 companies, which will invest Rs 3,900 crore inthe textile park.
The textile park would provide direct employment to27,000 people and create about 50,000 indirect jobopportunities, the state government had said. PTI SJR RSNP.
