Concord (US), Jan 13 (AP) Three women part of the Freethe Nipple campaign who were ticketed for going topless at aNew Hampshire beach are taking their fight to the state'shighest court.

Heidi Lilley, Kia Sinclair and Ginger Pierro arechallenging an ordinance in the city of Laconia prohibitingpublic nudity. The women were cited in 2016 for sunbathingtopless at a beach over Memorial Day weekend.

The women appealed to the state supreme court after adistrict court judge rejected their request to dismiss thecase. Oral arguments are scheduled for February 1.

The women argue there's no state law forbidding femaletoplessness and call the case gender-based discriminationbecause men don't have to cover their nipples. Town ordinancesupporters say it's for the protection of children andfamilies. (AP)MRJ.
