Meanwhile, the State education department officials are planning to rope in the same Mitsubishi corporation for the setup of Japan Information Centres in the State universities to introduce Japanese language course. If not the officials would handover this project to State Skill development corporation or to bring faculty from English and Foreign language University, Hyderabad.Based on the sources, as the State government inked an MoU with Japan government for providing almost five lakh jobs for the State youth to work in Japan in the year 2015. Since then as only few candidates have secured jobs in Japanese firms, the education department wants to extend the Japanese language program to all other State Universities in the State.

Speaking on this to TNIE, S Varadarajan, Secretary of APSCHE said, "There are many jobs for the State youth in Japan companies, where the government made a MoU. As the students are not having the basic knowledge of Japanese, since they have to work in that environment, they are not able to get hold of the jobs. So we want to extend to all other Universities in the State with proper certification from the University. Also we are planning to make it mandatory for the engineering students, so that they can complete this course before they graduate and then have the job."
