Newly crowned Pan Pacific Open champions Sania Mirza and Cara Black took off from where they left in Tokyo. The eighth-seeded Indo-Zimbabwean duo brushed aside Kimiko Date-Krumm and Chanelle Scheepers in the opening round of China Open today.
Black and Mirza won 6-3 6-3 in just an hour and 10 minutes.
Earlier on Saturday, the pair clinched their first title together after teaming up for the first time at the Toray Pan Pacific Open.
