Jose Mourinho rounded on Chelsea's critics after his team clinched the Premier League title yesterday (Sunday).
Mourinho rejected any suggestion his side were not worthy champions or that they had been helped by the failure of others after Eden Hazard's goal against Crystal Palace sealed Chelsea's first title in five years.
The Chelsea manager said: "The people who have a big face to say we don't deserve it are the ones who, in my country, say the dogs bark and the caravan goes by. It is easy to be a pundit. As a pundit, you win every game. Fantastic job, really. Maybe in 10 years' time, it's my job. Then I win every game. Now, as a manager, I lose sometimes and it's a much more difficult job.
"What the players are feeling now is fantastic. They deserve it. For me, it's maybe a special feeling because I'm not the smartest guy to choose countries and clubs.
"I could choose another club in another country where it's easier to be champions, but I chose the most difficult league in Europe. A club where I was happy before. In my country, they say 'don't go back somewhere you were happy before because you risk that'. So I took that risk. I'm so happy to win another Premier League title."
This is the first title Mourinho has won with Chelsea since returning in 2013 and his third with the club in total. "The first was difficult because it was the first one for Chelsea in the new Premier League," he said. "The second one our team were so strong, so stable, so many big players in the best year of their careers.
"This one is completely different. Chelsea, the opponents, the League are all different. So many of them [the players] win it for the first time, which is something they have to learn to do. I'm so happy for them and so proud because everything we did since day one, now we feel we got what we deserved.
"I was champion in every club I coached. Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Chelsea again. Every title was important for different reasons. To win the title in Spain with 100 points against the best Barcelona ever was a big achievement. But maybe in future I have to be smarter and choose another country, another club where everybody is champions, even where the kit man is champion coaching in some countries.
"I still enjoy to be tired after a very difficult match. I'm in the right place. I stay here while Mr Abramovich wants me. The day he tells me to go, I go. He is the man who won every title at Chelsea. Some players did some, others did others. Same with managers. Mr Abramovich won it all. If he has replicas, he needs a big house."
Mourinho, 52, celebrated at the final whistle yesterday by embracing his family, who were seated behind the dug-out. He revealed that he made a flying visit back to Portugal in the lead-up to the game because his father had undergone surgery.
"When the game finished at Leicester, I immediately got a private plane to go to Portugal and I was there with him at the most difficult moment, which was at the moment of the surgery," he said. "After that, every-thing is under control. He's strong, getting better. I'm much more relaxed."
Mourinho admitted that he could not enjoy yesterday's game and he appeared to be venting his frustration at the quiet Stamford Bridge crowd. "Today was not a game to enjoy, it was a game to finish the job," he said. "We needed that. We have injuries, we have people who are getting tired when the fight for the last points is arriving. We feel the pressure.
"We've shown everything since day one. Everything football demands from a team, we had. We had fantastic attacking football, fantastic domination, high percentages of ball possession, low percentages, defended amazingly well.
"We did everything the team need to do. That's why we're champions. That's why we deserve it. Everybody knows that."
