CHENNAI: A brilliant 81 by Anish Wadwa helped Arihant Pharmaceuticals beat Bharathy SC by 20 runs in the 45th all-India YSCA trophy cricket tournament.

WC Awareness Run

The Tamil Nadu Football Association (TFA) is organising an Awareness Run on June 8 as a goodwill gesture to commemorate the FIFA World Cup which begins on June 12. The run, titled FIFA World Cup 2014 — Chennai Run, is organised jointly by the TFA and The Chennai Sports Mission Trust (CMST).

The run will be flagged off at the Kamarajar Salai (Beach Road) at 7 am on Sunday near the Labour Statue and will end near the new lighthouse. There is no entry fee. Participants can register their names with The Chennai Sports Mission Trust (CMST), SMS Yes to Meet to 9841335114 or e-mail at chn.sports2013@gmail.com. The last date has been extended up to June 5.
