CHENNAI: Vijay Shankar’s hurricane 120 not out helped Vijay CC beat AG’s office by 36 runs in a second round match of the Take Solutions-Ashok Kumbhat T20 trophy at IC-Gurunanak College grounds. Vijay raced to his ton in just 43 balls, sharing a 115-run third-wicket partnership with Baba Aparajith.

Sriramulu passes away

Former TN and ICF footballer PV Sriramulu (78) passed away after a rail accident on Sunday. Sriramulu, who was suffering from dementia, is survived by his wife, son and daughter. He was also a NIS (Patiala) qualified coach, and served as a national referee for over a decade. He coached the state senior, junior and sub-junior teams.
