CHENNAI: Ravichandran Ashwin will play in the TNCA First Division League as a professional for Jolly Rovers, not as an employee of Chemplast who owns the club.
Although he had sent in his resignation, his employers India Cements, are yet to give him the release order. “Ashwin will play for us as a professional for Jolly Rovers. He won’t be an employee on Chemplast payrolls because he’s yet to get the release order. His presence will be a big boost to our side,” revealed a highly placed Chemplast source.
