Blitz chess
Virudhunagar District Chess Association and Sivakasi Chess Club will organise the 18th Tamil Nadu state blitz chess championship at Rengnayagi Varatharaj College of Engineering, Sattur, on February 12. Registered players of Tamil Nadu State Chess Association are eligible to participate.

Tamil Nadu won six gold medals in taekwondo in the Khelo-India National Programme for Development of Sports (taekwondo, volleyball), conducted by SDAT at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and SDAT Nehru Indoor Stadium on Thursday.
