Vidyut to coach Madurai
Former Tamil Nadu all-rounder Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan has been roped in as coach of the Madurai Super Giants team in the TNPL for the coming season.

He replaces former Australian cricketer Michael Bevan, who left midway through the tournament last year. “I’ve taken over as coach of Madurai. It’s a good opportunity for me, and I hope to give my best shot. Yes, comparisons with Bevan will be there. He was a great player, and a good coach. But I wish to bring in my perspective to the game, and request people not to judge me by Bevan’s standards,” said Vidyut. “Last year, we didn’t do well. This year, we’re keen to start afresh. We’ve a good team, and if we play to our potential, I see no reason why we cannot do well,” added Vidyut.
