CHENNAI: Robin Bist’s unbeaten 120 enabled Jolly Rovers-Sanmar to beat India Pistons by six wickets in the semifinals of the 12th VA Parthasarathy Memorial limited-overs Trophy, organised by the TNCA at KS Narayanan Centre for Cricketing Excellence grounds, IIT-Madras, on Wednesday.
Bist and S Suresh Kumar (54) added 111 runs in 107 balls for the fourth wicket. For Pistons, Jiwanjot Singh, who scored his second century (116) of the tournament, was unfortunate to end up losing, as his teams bowlers failed to deliver.
Jolly Rovers will face Globe Trotters, who eased past CromBest by seven wickets in the other semifinal, in the summit clash. Batting first CromBest folded for a paltry 133 with S Aniruda taking 3/7.
