CHENNAI: R Sonu Yadav’s 93 helped Tamil Nadu bag a lead of 95 runs against Saurashtra on the third day of their Cooch Behar Trophy U-19 clash, in Dindigul on Tuesday. Brief scores: Saurashtra 253 & 110/5 in 56 ovs (Sachin Mevada 58) vs Tamil Nadu 348 in 104.4 ovs (Aditya Barooah 95, Tushar Raheja 65, R Sonu Yadav 93; Pranav Karia 3/89).

S Shrikrishna earned a 5-4 win against J Varun Kumar in the semifinals of the Indian Oil Tamil Nadu state-ranking men’s snooker championship, held here on Tuesday. In the other semifinal, G Prabhu overcame R Ashish Jain 5-3.
