As former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned 37 today, he celebrated his birthday with wife, Sakshi, daughter, Ziva and other members of the Indian team, currently touring England.

Dhoni could be seen cutting a cake with his family and teammates in a video that went viral on social media.

In another video, Dhoni's daughter Ziva could be seen singing 'Happy birthday papa, you're getting older.'

Former Indian cricketer and Dhoni's teammate Virender Sehwag, known for his humour on Twitter, had a fun twist in his birthday wish.

Odisha sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik had a wish for Dhoni through a sand sculpture at Puri beach.

The Indian team's senior-most player Dhoni just yesterday reached the coveted milestone of playing 500 international matches during the second T20 International against England.

The former India captain has now so far played 90 Test matches, 318 ODIs and 92 T20Is.

In 90 Tests, he had scored 4876 runs with six hundreds and 33 half centuries before calling it a day. In the 318 ODIs, he has so far scored 9967 runs with 10 tons and 67 half tons. In the 91 T20s before the England match, he had scored 1455 runs with two half-centuries.

In 499 international matches so far, he has taken 602 catches and effected 178 stumpings.
