If there’s one thing that did not change over two seasons of the Indian Super League, it is Mumbai City’s fortunes against Chennaiyin FC.

CHENNAI: If there’s one thing that did not change over two seasons of the Indian Super League, it is Mumbai City’s fortunes against Chennaiyin FC. The stats speak for themselves.

The visitors have lost all four of the games that they’ve played against Chennaiyin. They have managed to score a dismal one goal in those four matches, while Chennaiyin have pumped in 13, their best record against an ISL team.

But if there is any Mumbai team that is capable of reversing this trend, it is the one that Alexandre Guimaraes will lead out at the JN Stadium on Wednesday.

Mumbai have managed to churn out respectable result with their marquee player Diego Forlan coming to the fore. It is no coincidence that whenever the Uruguayan had a goal or an assist, Mumbai has won.
