Heena Sidhu enters 25m Pistol final at shooting nationals

Olympian Heena Sidhu today qualified for the finals of the 25m Pistol event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC).

PUNE: Olympian Heena Sidhu today qualified for the finals of the 25m Pistol event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) here.

Sidhu shot 574 to finish at the second position.

Surabhi Pathak of Madhya Pradesh shot 579 to lead a group of eight women to the finals, which included big names like Rahi Sarnobat and Annu Raj Singh, besides Heena.

The team gold in the event went to Haryana, represented by Muskan, who also qualified for the individual final in fourth position shooting 573, Gauri Sheoran and Anita Devi, who combined for a score of 1691.

Rahi Sarnobat, Shreya Gawande and Saee Godbole helped Maharashtra secure silver with a combined effort of 1687.

The Border Security Force (BSF) team represented by Baljinder Kaur, Neeraj Kaur and Amarjeet Kaur shot 1677 to secure the bronze medal.
