Sharon nets silver

Sharon Mary Cherian of the Schram Academy, Maduravoyal bagged a silver medal in the 400m freestyle event at the CBSE National Swimming Championships, held in Sonepat last week. She was competing in the U-19 category and missed gold by just a second. She also won bronze medals in 200m freestyle and 400m individual medley events. S Harshitha won a silver medal in 50m breast stroke, in the U-11 category.

10K run postponed

The fourth leg of the 10K INTENCITY run, to be held in Chennai, has been postponed from November 12 to January 21, due to inclement weather. Registrations for the Chennai leg are open until January 15. Contact: 09920710261.
