Wrestler and WWE Executive Vice President Triple H was so impressed with the performance of Australian Open champion Serena Williams that he wanted to send the 23-time Grand Slam champion a special gift for her stunning victory over her sister Venus Williams in the Aussie Open final yesterday.

The American tennis ace Serena will receive a custom WWE championship title belt from 'Hunter' who will be giving it on behalf of World Wrestling Entertainment. Triple H took to Twitter and showered praise on Serena calling her a "record-breaking, ground-breaking, barrier-breaking, history-making champion."

Along with the tweet Triple H also shared the photo of custom WWE championship title belt that is to be gifted to Serena. The belt consists of customised plates that carry names of all the four Grand Slam tournaments, with Serena Williams' name carved on either side of the title.

WWE had also handed over a similar championship title belt last year to Chicago Cubs after they won the World Series Champions after 108 years.

With the triumph at Australian Open Serena broke Steffi Graf's long-standing record of 22 Grand Slam titles in the Open Era. Now, she is just two Grand Slam titles shy of entering the record books of having won the most Grand Slam tournament singles titles in the history of the game.

The 35-year-old Serena Williams will be hoping to break Margaret Court's 24 Grand Slam singles titles record in the coming days.

In an Aussie Open final that lasted 81 minutes, Serena Williams defeated Venus Williams in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Not only did Serena clinch her seventh Australian Open Grand Slam but also reclaimed the world number 1 ranking which she had recently lost to Germany's Angelique Kerber.
