ROME: Spain's Rafael Nadal continued his impressive clay-court season by cruising into the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over American Jack Sock on Thursday.

Nadal, the number four seed and a seven-time champion in the Italian capital, now meets Dominic Thiem for a semi-final spot.
