APCLC convener dead

Noted civil liberties leader and convener of the AP Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC), of the Rayalaseema region, MJ Subbarami Reddy(54) died here on Thursday at Sri Venkateshwara institute of medical sciences (SVIMs).

Reddy, who was a former PWG leader, had been active as a civil liberties leader all along his life, after giving up armed struggle. He had come to Tirupati to participate in a meeting organised to extend solidarity to the Lakshmipeta victims last month. He fell down from a train at Tirupati and succumbed to the injuries.
