Collector Saurabh Gaur has said that land will be distributed to the families of those who died in the Lakshmipuram carnage on June 12. The government is ready to purchase land for the purpose.

It may be mentioned that four persons were killed in a group clash over a piece of land in Lakshmipuram.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, the collector appealed to land owners in a radius of 5 km from Lakshmipuram who were willing to sell their lands to consult to the tahsildar of Vangara mandal with all relevant documents.

The district administration has already provided other facilities such as ex gratia and employment to one educated person in each of the families of the victims, besides supplying essential commodities free of cost for three months.
