2 held for Simhachalam land fraud

Crime investigation department officials arrested a deputy surveyor and his brother who were involved in issuance of a forged government order regularising a land near Simhachalam in Visakhapatnam district in favour of a person.

They were produced in court and remanded in judicial custody. According to police, the fake government order was created by the duo regularising a land measuring 2,032.

80 square yards in Survey No.151/1B at Vepagunta village in Pendurthi mandal in favour of one Madena Narayanamma.

The accused _ Ravanam Veera Venkata Raghava Rao of Pithapuram town who is working as deputy surveyor in the office of the district surveyor and land records, Kakinada and Ravanam Balakrishna, his younger brother _ created a fake GO regularising the said land and directing the commissioner of endowments to make necessary arrangements.
