Property details of MLAs on website soon

Speaker of the state assembly Nadenla Manohar has intensified efforts to upload assets and liabilities of legislators on the Assembly website, www.aplegislature.org, at the earliest.

State assembly secretariat has written letters to all legislators of the assembly in this regard.

Sources in the assembly secretariat disclosed that all the property details of the MLAs would be uploaded to the website as soon as the information from concerned legislators is received.

In all possibility, this information may be available in a months time on the website. Meanwhile, the government has decided to pay pension to all the former legislators online.

“There are 1450 former MLAs in the state. Henceforth their pension will be deposited in their bank accounts online,” an official in the assembly secretariat said. The government is contemplating holding the monsoon session of the assembly and legislative council in the third week of September as both speaker Manohar and chairman of the council A Chakrapani are going to Colombo for the 58th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference that which will take place from September 7 to 15.

Roads and buildings minister Dharmana Prasada Rao called on Manohar at latter’s chamber in the assembly premises here on Friday and discussed about the proposed buildings for the assembly secretariat at the premises and new quarters for MLAs at Adarsh Nagar.
