Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy of the AP High Court opined that an onerous duty is cast on the state government to ensure that the Indira Sagar Polavaram project is taken up in the right earnest and completed at the earliest.
The government shall make an endeavour to see that needless litigation is avoided by examining the tenders objectively while keeping in mind that public interest takes precedence over individual interests, he observed. The judge made these observations while disposing of recently three writ petitions filed by the unsuccessful bidders - CGS-Gammon-AMR joint venture.
