Fire in petrol pump, none hurt

Petrol pumps were partially damaged in a fire at a filling station at Kothapet on Sunday. Fire tenders reached the spot quickly and put out the flames averting a major mishap. None was injured in the incident.

Police said sparks erupted when the staff were filling petrol in a two-wheeler. The pump caught fire and soon it spread to the other pumps in the station. Fire tenders rushed to the spot from Moula Ali and Malakpet. .
