District collector A Dinakar Babu, who had already sent the government a primary report on Saturday’s hooch incident, has directed revenue and excise officials to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into it.
Over 12 people of Chepyal in Mirdoddi mandal were hospitalised after they consumed adulterated toddy on Friday night. All the 12 people have recovered and they are out of danger.
Following orders from the collector, Kishta Goud and Chandra Goud involved in selling the adulterated toddy were arrested. Samples of liquor in the shop were also sent to lab for tests. Official sources said that basing on the report, which would be submitted in a couple of days, action will be taken
