Leader of the opposition and Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu undertook a 6-km-long padayatra from Nizampatnam to Parsavaripalem in the Vadarevu and Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor area on Thursday.
Naidu demanded cancellation of GOs allotting 28,000 acres of land for the project. He alleged that the lands were being used for real estate business and project promoter Nimmagadda Prasad invested Rs 800 crore in YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s company. He called upon the farmers, whose lands had been acquired for the project, to launch a determined agitation to get back their lands.
“The project promoter, who paid Rs 300 crore to farmers for acquisition of the lands, planned to earn Rs 20,000 crore,” he said. Naidu interacted with farmers and tilled a land at Parsavaripalem .
