An Intermediate student, B Murali (18), committed suicide by consuming poison at Gandhinagar village of Damaracharla mandal unable to bear the alleged harassment of the college management to pay the fee installment.
According to sources, Murali, a second year student at a private Junior college, Miryalaguda, had so far paid ` 3,000 out of the total ` 20,000 fee. The college authorities had been demanding Murali to pay the fee installment of `2,000 for sometime now . He was sent out of the college on Friday for non-payment of fee installment. Feeling humiliated for being sent out of the college, Murali went home and consumed poison on Friday. His parents rushed him to Miryalguda government hospital immediately, but he succumbed on Saturday morning. The boy’s parents lodged a complaint with the police.
