Five devotees, including two children, have fainted in the queue lines at Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy temple in Vemulawada on Sunday. However, they were all discharged after providing treatment at the temple hospital.
Over 25,000 devotees, it is estimated, visited the temple in the last two days. But the temple authorities failed to make proper arrangements.
Devotees in the ‘dharma darshan’ queue line had to wait for six hours but there was no shelter for the queue. Drinking water points have also not been set up. Meanwhile, those in the ‘Seeghra darshan’ queue suffocated due to poor ventilation.
