Film actor Balakrishna conferred with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday amidst reports that he was seeking an important position in the party.
Balakrishna, who has been canvassing for the TDP all along, had recently expressed his desire to contest the Assembly elections. According to sources, both leaders held talks on a suitable position for Balakrishna in the wake of the latter's brother, N Harikrishna, a Rajya Sabha member, making moves to promote his son Jr NTR in the party reportedly against the wishes of Babu.
Among other issues that came up for discussion was BC declaration and Babu's announcement that the party would remain committed to classification of SCs. They are understood to have discussed to what extent the classification would bring the Madigas closer.
