Kavuri hosts dinner for Seemandhra MPs

At a time when the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao is predicting a favourable decision on Telangana statehood from the Centre at the earliest, Congress MP from Eluru and staunch integrationist, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao hosted a dinner for his party colleagues from the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions in Delhi on Monday.

Several Congress MPs from the two regions, who partook of the dinner, discussed their possible course of action in case the party high command decides to bifurcate the state.

Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi, wife of PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana, however, denied that Telangana was discussed at the meeting. She said  they had met to celebrate the birthday of JD Seelam, a fellow MP, and discussed the ways of strengthening the Congress in the state apart from taking stock of the current political situation in the state.

MP T Subbirami Reddy, said the MPs had chalked out an action plan to mount pressure on the Centre to clear the pending works.
