A person suspected to be mentally sick, has gained entry into the runway of the local airport INS Dega. The personnel manning the entry point at the high security zone too have failed to prevent his entry.
INS Dega, which is the Eastern Naval Command’s air station, is also being used for civil aviation and is guarded by the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) round-the-clock.
The man had entered the airport around 9 p.m. on Sunday and moved into the bushes adjacent to the runway. He was spotted only around noon time on Monday. Security personnel at the airport later nabbed him.
