Time is ticking and the central government has four more days at its disposal to announce its decision on Telangana, Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrasekhar Rao has said.

Speaking at a meeting organised at the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University here on Tuesday in connection with Telangana ideologue K Jayashankar's birth anniversary and former TNGO president K Swami Goud's retiremen, Rao said if the Centre was not ready to keep its promise of giving statehood to the Telangana region as announced by it on December 9, 2009, it should once again get ready to face the Telangana heat in the coming days.

"If the Centre starts the process of giving statehood to Telangana at the earliest, we will be happy. If it does not take steps in another four days, we will launch another agitation to make the long-cherished demand of the people of Telangana a reality,'' he declared.
