'Government blithe to areas represented by opposition'

TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu accused government of applying brakes to development of segments represented by members of opposition.

Naidu before winding up his three-day visit to his Kuppam constituency, speaking to mediapersons said that the state government was deliberately ignoring constituencies represented by the opposition party members to irk them and was not even hesitating to block welfare schemes.

He said that during TDP regime, the Kuppam hospital which was developed as an area hospital having a staff of 180 personnel, including 18 doctors, for medicare of the most backward mandals of  Kuppam and Palamaner areas, is now languishing with only a single doctor and a total staff of twenty.

The Israel project which was taken up had almost come to a halt with no funding from the government, he said and added that the farmers who had lent their land for the project were now in a fix, unable to decide what to do with land.Assailing the government for putting the Palar dam project in cold storage, he assured  that the TDP will complete it, if it comes to power.

Coming down heavily on the government, he charged that the government had turned a blind eye regarding farmers’ problems, not acting even after scores of them suffered heavy damages due to loss of groundnut, tomatoes and mangoes in many mandals, due to dry spells, forcing many to migrate from their villages.

Regarding the horrible condition of SVR Ruia hospital, he found fault with the government of not taking urgent measures to stop the death of children, which is continuing unabated.

Earlier, Naidu visited many villages in Santhipuram and Gudipalli mandal, where he interacted with farmers.
