MP told to vacate SV Medical College quarters

TDP leader and Chittoor MP N Sivaprasad after launching an agitation at the SVR Ruia government hospital here on Tuesday served an ultimatum to the SV medical college principal to evict Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan from college quarters by September 7 or else the stir would get intensified.

Opposition leaders, activists and students of SV medical college have demanded that the Tirupati MP vacate the place, as his stay is causing a lot of inconvenience to inmates of the hostel.

During TDP president Chandrababu Naidu’s visit, a surgeon also complained that the privacy of those living on campus was being intruded because of the MP living there.

While Naidu was interacting with the hospital staff during his visit to the SVR Ruia hospital, a house surgeon came forward and complained that because Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan was staying in the college quarters, it was creating lot of inconvenience to inmates of the hostels.

The surgeon said that recently a girl student’s chain was snatched on campus and then onwards they were not allowing any of the outsiders into the campus premises during night times and they had started questioning any stranger during night.

But, many Congress party workers and others were coming to meet Chinta Mohan, sometimes even during midnight, which was causing a lot inconvenience, particularly to girls.

Whomever, we question, they say that they are Congress workers, he said.

We are not able to differentiate who is coming to meet the Congress MP and who is there for chain snatching, he lamented.

Some other doctors complained that the Congress MP was even holding party workers meeting at his house and he recently had held a meeting at the SV auditorium too, which is only meant for SV medical college programmes.

The Congress MP also conducted all the party workers meetings during the recent bypolls of the Tirupati Assembly constituency on campus, they charged.

Responding to complaints, the TDP president has demanded that Chinta Mohan should be immediately evicted from the place and he further warned that the TDP would launch a massive protest against him, if he is still found living and conducting meetings on campus.

Tirupati MLA and YSRC leader Bhumana has also taken up the issue.

Chittoor MP Sivaprasad has urged Chinta Mohan to vacate the place and maitain the dignity of the campus.

It may be recalled, Chinta Mohan was involved in a similar controversy, as he had stayed in TTD quarters, but had vacated it following stir by opposition parties
