Secretariat officers not to use ACs

The officers posted at Secretariat on Thursday resolved to work without air-conditioning in their rooms until the power supply situation in the state improves. The decision was taken a day after chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy directed ministers and officers to save energy. He made a pointed mention of the Secretariat.

Meanwhile, sources said that after the chief minister returns from his Delhi trip, he will have a meeting with all heads of departments in Secretariat and plan an energy- saving campaign.
