Each district to get 150 Mee Seva centres

Minister for information technology and communications Ponnala Lakshamaiah directed the officials to ensure that each district in the state have minimum 150 Mee Seva centres by the end of December 2012.

Addressing a review meeting of IT&C officials here on Tuesday, the minister expressed his dissatisfaction over the functioning of the Mee Seva centres, particularly service provided by CMS, APONLINE and Srevan softwares.

 Service providers were asked to double their staff to provide faster and efficient services.

 He directed them to give specific services to citizens, such as providing certificate in the format which is acceptable to defence, Indian railways and banking services.

 The minister directed IT secretary to create awareness among all the major departments for incorporating G2C services.

 Further, he wanted the department to prepare a vision document and a master plan for all the current and future e-governance services.

 The HMDA commissioner was told to expedite the building plan approval of IT/ITES companies in Kokapet SEZ.

 Meanwhile, DSM India services director Puneet Kumar and Manish met Ponnala and briefed their expansion plans
