Manmad Express to have Addl Coach

The South Central Railway (SCR) will temporarily augment Secunderabad-Manmad Ajanta Express with one additional sleeper class coach to make way for more passenger accommodation.

The South Central Railway (SCR) will temporarily augment Secunderabad-Manmad Ajanta Express with one additional sleeper class coach to make way for more passenger accommodation.

Accordingly, Secunderabad-Manmad Ajantha Express will be augmented with an additional sleeper class coach from December 12 to 31. Manmad-Secunderabad  Express will be augmented with an additional sleeper class coach from December 13 to January 1. The augmentation of the additional sleeper class coach will make 2,880 additional sleeper class berths available so as to clear the extra rush of waitlisted passengers.

Fortress Check

The Hyderabad division of the South Central Railway (SCR) conducted a ‘fortress check’ against ticketless and irregular travel at the Mahabubnagar railway station. As many as 22 ticket checking staff and 12 RPF personnel were involved in the check. A total of 179 cases were booked.

Christmas Celebrations by SCR staff

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway Christian Employees’ Association, Secunderabad, held Grand Christmas Celebrations programme at Rail Kalarang, Bhoiguda on Saturday night. The colourful celebrations included singing of Carols, set in an atmosphere of festivity with railway employees and their families along with others joining to herald the spirit of oneness. SCR chief commercial manager A Bharat Bhushan, who was the guest of honour on the occasion, spoke on the uniqueness of these celebrations by its employees and called upon everyone to emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ towards making the society a better place to live in. Rev. Edgar Satluri delivered the Christmas message and extolled the virtues of Jesus Christ. Earlier, BD Christopher, president of the SCR Christian Employees’ Association spoke.
